Environments: external and internal

All creatures are feeling

Or sensing to be precise

One can think of sensing as

An immutable internal self

Interfacing and interacting with

Some external force

You feel

A warm ray of sun

A breezy gust of wind

A cold splash of water

You see

Green trees

Blue skies

Red flowers

You hear

Human voices

Loud cars

Soothing Music

You smell

Fragrant perfumes
Foul stenches

Good-tasting food

All the senses

But have you ever considered

That you are a stimulus too!

Each one of your cells

Are connected in some way

They are not just taking in the world

They are taking in each others’ world

The environment

Are useful conversation topics

That keep each other happy

And thus make you happy

Without environmental stimulus

Say a dark soundproofed room

Your cells will still talk to each other

But it all does not make sense

So much exchange

But it is all stored memories
Without any information

On the current reality

Your internal noise

Reverberating across cells

Fogging with your ability

To maintain yourself

So, remember this,

You need the external environment

But don’t forget the internal environment

Both work together to make you…you!
