When is half-assing not ass?


Today I found out

One of my favourite playlists

Is partly AI


In that the music generated

Is mostly AI


And the thumbnail art

Is partly AI


How do I feel about this?

As someone who is pro-AI for science

And anti-AI for art


Profoundly mixed


On one hand

This half-assery

Feels insulting


On the other

I'm relaxed by the music

And captivated by the art and animation


The combination

Of music and aesthetic is novel

There is a high creative human effort


So is this ‘good’ half-assery

Because full-assery, e.g. full AI

Is the worse alternative?


I think…

I would like a coffee…

And some full-ass stuff…
